And with online searches and driving around the area, we located a few.  Now understand, we are looking for a church that will provide a Biblical foundation for us as a family to continue our Christian journey. We were considering one church. However, my husband was quick to chime in... What's the dress code? My initial reaction was, "Does it really matter? If they can't accept me for who I am and not judge me based on the clothes I wear, then there is probably a bigger problem." The conversation was tabled so I could get more details about the church. But it got me thinking. What if God had a dress code? Would I make the cut? In fact, what's the dress code? We live our lives trying to please everyone else. Always focusing on the expectations of others.  Are you living your life with someone else's dress code? Because God does not have a dress code for you! He is simply waiting with opens arms. The K.I.S.S. ~ Come as you are! God created you in His image. You are fearfully and wonderfully made.  It tears me up inside thinking that people are running away from God for fear that they don't measure up.  You don't have to wear your Sunday best to be in God's presence.  But you do have to BE!
- Be willing for Him to pursue your heart.
- Be willing for Him to gift you grace.
- Be willing for Him to stretch your faith.
- Be willing for Him to love you unconditionally.
You see that's the difference between friends on earth and your Heavenly Father. There is no judgement as to how to be in God's presence. He wants you to BE! "For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline." ~ 2 Timothy 1:7 You have this within you! Power. Love. Self-discipline.
