- Responsibilities became more of the focus.
- Children graced your presence all the time.
- Snuggle time on the couch was now consumed by last minute emails for work and Instagram stories.
- And least we forget that we are never right, only the other one in the room is.
Oh yes, we settle in to what we know and let it all hang out. In fact, we even get a little snippy when we've had a LONG day! Something that wouldn't have been a big deal while dating turns into a massive yelling match as if WWF is in your bedroom. What remains true. Love is patient. Love is kind. Love endures all things. (1 Corinthians 13) If only your words still showed how much you loved each other. But now it's more of a cut throat, short-tempered reaction with a little huff at the end for the exclamation point. And don't forget the roll of the eyes.  I'm right, you're wrong. What remains true. We love. We criticize. Why is it that we can love, but still hurt those we love?
