A father faced a tough decision a year ago. His name was Jimmy Burrow. He wasn't just any father. He was a football player in high school and college, and went on to play professional football in both the NFL and the Canadian league. After his six years in professional football, he continued as a coach. Now he and his wife, Robin, had a son named Joe Burrow. As mom said, "I feel like football is the Burrow family."  https://youtu.be/-D508AWz9NM It was a way of life. Joe grew up on the sidelines while his father coached. And when he started to play football, it was Saturday games for Dad and Sunday games for Joe. However, things became somewhat complicated when Joe decided to transfer from Ohio State University to LSU. Dad was only able to go to three games to watch his son. A tough decision came on the eve of the start of Joe's senior year at LSU. If he wanted to see Joe play, he had to retire. A love for his son. A love for coaching. The K.I.S.S. ~ Which way will he choose? In life, there are pivotable moments that define our direction. The beginning of a new year is a restart; an opportunity to center up where you are headed and meet God where He wants you to go. But unfortunately, we get ourselves trapped underneath our own wants and desires. We neglect God's dreams and desires for us. Who would think that God would have a better plan than anything you could ever dream or imagine?

• How do you want your spiritual walk with God to grow?
• Who do you want leading your life?
• Where do you want go?

Lots of questions and maybe limited answers right now. But that's okay! This is your year to create your now.  This is your time to rise up and seek what God wants you to find. 14 When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, 15 the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. 16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. 20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. 21 Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Remember Jimmy, the football coach, and father to Joe? Well, he made the tough decision. He retired and went to every football game his son played, including the Peach Bowl national semifinal game just yesterday. Not only did he see his son win the Peach Bowl and will now watch him play in the national championship on January 13th, but he also was by his side when he was awarded the Heisman Trophy, the highest honor for a collegiate football athlete. Just as Jimmy sacrificed for his son, God will do exceedingly more than you can ever imagine. Open your eyes and feel the presence. Make the tough decisions. Walk by faith. "God's got you!
