Mark 11:1-9 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples, 2 saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 3 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it and will send it back here shortly.’” 4 They went and found a colt outside in the street, tied at a doorway. As they untied it, 5 some people standing there asked, “What are you doing, untying that colt?” 6 They answered as Jesus had told them to, and the people let them go. 7 When they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks over it, he sat on it. 8 Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut in the fields. 9 Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted, “Hosanna!" There was a celebration prior to the days that changed the world! Rejoice always! You may look at your circumstances and see what you don't have. Rowland Bingham, one of three founders of Sudan Interior Mission, was a man whose faith in God and His goodness was exercised in practical everyday experiences. When Dr. Bingham was sixty-years-old, he was seriously injured in an automobile accident. After he regained consciousness in the hospital, he asked the nurse what he was doing there. "Be quiet," she replied. "You've been in an accident." "Accident? An accident?" Dr. Bingham exclaimed. "There are no accidents in the life of a Christian. This is an incident and God has a purpose." The K.I.S.S. ~ Rejoice always! There was a celebration of Jesus' coming; Him entering Jerusalem all leading up to what would be the worst days for Him and the best for us in the long run. "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." ~ Romans 8:28 Have you asked God lately what His purpose for your life is in your current situation? Or are you playing the blame game with God and everyone else? "For we are to walk by faith, not by sight." ~ 2 Corinthians 5:7 Our vision is limited to the immediate hurdles we confront daily. Now you can assume the position and consider that the world is against you, relying only on your own strength and knowledge to get you through the accident, circumstance, situation, or even incident. However, know that God has gone before you. Ask Him what is the purpose in where you stand? What is He wanting you to learn? Your blame. His purpose. How will you respond? "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." ~ Galatians 2:20 "His purpose is yours to claim.
