Or caring for your grandchildren or nieces or nephews? Wisdom is defined as the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgment; the quality of being wise. (per dictionary.com) You have been equipped with experiences, circumstances, and situations that have all given you knowledge; good, bad, and ugly. However, it's how you utilize all of this knowledge to bring about wisdom. And a few other ingredients. It's not necessarily how much wisdom you have, but more importantly, how you train up your child. The K.I.S.S. ~ Train up your child! "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." ~ Proverbs 22:6 We are to share our knowledge with children in order to grow them as individuals who can then go out and impact the world they touch.  When you take all your knowledge and put it into practice, then wisdom begins to emerge. So how can you gain wisdom while training up your child? Walk with the wise. Who are you hanging out with? Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm. ~ Proverbs 13:20 Discipline your child. This is where you build consistency following through on your requests and sometimes those demands.  "Discipline your children, and they will give you peace; they will bring you the delights you desire." ~ Proverbs 29:17 Love unconditionally. You may not like what your child does, but you still need to love him where he's at. Wisdom can be mistaken for having all the answers. As a parent, you will never have all the answers. However, you will have a heart to lead them to wiser choices and love that always forgives. "Train for life.
