Some would quickly respond with a resounding, "YES!!!!"  However, we know that anything worth having takes work. Have you ever thought if you can run your OWN race? It's your race to run - NO ONE else should run it. Yet there is a temptation to keep looking over your shoulder. Have you ever watched a horse race? They run with blinders on, otherwise, they could decide on a different route or change course quickly. Running with blinders on is the BEST way! If you find yourself looking to the sides, looking at others, that's ok so long as you are encouraging and cheering others on. If you are looking backwards, the view should be from the perspective of how far you've come. Running with blinders on allows you to stay the course with strategic and intentional purpose. The K.I.S.S. ~ Keep your eyes on the prize! Create your DESIRE to win. Rejuvenate your passion. Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. ~ 1 Corinthians 9:24 Exercise rigorous DISCIPLINE. Renew your commitments. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. ~ 1 Corinthians 9:25 Boiling point of water is 212° Focus on the DIRECTION. Redirect your efforts. You want to go in the right direction. I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back. ~ Philippians 3:12-14 If most people drive their cars like the way they live their lives, they would never leave their driveway. One thing that everyone wants is to win well. DETERMINATION is the price of success.  And that determination will come from your everyday actions and thoughts! It's the little things that count, that will keep you in the race. However, you must understand that there is a major caution sign.
