Now it's important to understand how those walls are built.  Over time through circumstances and experiences, walls are formed usually as a protection measure. No one wants to repeat any memory attached to pain. This way there is a uniformed safe place to keep provide a feeling of comfort. So the walls go up.  However, if you really want to have a dynamic marriage, you have to tear down the walls. The K.I.S.S. ~ Tear down the walls! These walls are not walls one would commonly think of. It's the walls built from insecurities. The way these walls come down is understanding how they went up. Less is more. Less competition, more COLLABORATION. You are a team in marriage. So believe in that team. If you're keeping score, then think again. This is not about who's winning the fights or who's right. You are a team! Work together. Not against each other. Less jealousy, more ADMIRATION. Believe it or not, we can become jealous of our spouse for a lot of reasons. And this happens when we don't even realize it.  Less discouragement, more ENCOURAGEMENT. Everyone gets tired. Everyone has bad days. But don't have a bad day every day. Encourage your spouse. Don't be so fussy and crabby all the time. Less criticism, more LOVE. You may not want to admit it, but it's so easy to criticize.
