All of them help to refine the sailor's ability to respond, not react, to everyday sailing. You, too, can be the skilled sailor in your everyday. Don't fret over what you can't control. Hone in by being present in each moment. Don't overgeneralize and put all your eggs in one basket. You can handle anything when everything is being thrown at you. Take a deep breath when the winds are violent. Keep calm because the focus is on what you control. Pray often in the nooks and crannies of your day.
