You can create stability even though the outside screams instability, which of course all you hear ringing in your head is "HELP!". Don't get all wrapped up in what you cannot control. It's easy to do because I've done it. Stay connected to each other. Focus on who you see every day. Think about this. It's easy to pass your family members by and not think much about what they need except for basic necessities. You aren't going shopping at Walmart or Target for stability.  Create your now.
