Courage does not have to be something that is discovered on the doorstep of real-life. It can be groomed in the backyard of your home so your child can experience victory regardless of defeat. 1. Responsibilities - Courage comes with responsibilities. Begin training up your child, allowing them to experiment and believe that he/she can do anything.
2. Own the messes - Give them room to make mistakes and figure out what works and doesn't work. And be careful not to undermine your child's confidence by always coming to the rescue. Freedom to make the mess fosters courage to grow.
3. A.I.M. - Action ignites motivation. Your child needs to understand how actions ignite the capacity to grow courage. The more risk of doing something, the greater the growth of courage.
4. Role Model - Children do what they see their parents doing. Be a role model and show what it's like to have courage. And this will too grow you!
