Hebrews 12:1-3 (NIV) Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. How much of your day seems shortened by your own doing? When you rely on yourself, your own strength, and resilience, the only thing that remains is a worn and torn life. The K.I.S.S. ~ Put down your baggage! God wants to bless you beyond anything you can ask or imagine. But if your every day is consumed by what you did in the past, or what someone did to you in the past, that will lead you nowhere fast.  You will be left on the sidelines begging for pity. Throw me the "oh woes me" party. This attitude and perception, of how you lead your life, minimalizes what God can do in you and through you. Nothing is impossible! But you have to stop trying to sort through what you want to donate to God and what you want to keep as a memento. His mercies are new every morning. (Lamentations 3:23) So why hang on to that which does not serve you, yet only weighs you down? Put down your baggage! Be specific about what you are laying at the feet of our Lord.
