Foodstuffs North Island boss Chris Quin told Mike Hosking people shouldn't do anything differently.
"The message is exactly the same, which is that people shop normally for the things they need at the rate they need them. We'll be fine and we'll get through it together."
Chris Quin says their supermarkets saw a 50 percent increase in demand after the announcement last night.
