Australasian College of Emergency Medicine President John Bonning told Mike Hosking Covid-19 was simply the straw that broke the camel's back.
"This has been coming down at us for the last ten years or so, and we've hit the ceiling that numbers do show people have missed out on care through the pandemic but we've kind of hit this capacity and it's probably been predictable."
