A new technology aimed at protecting against viruses is coming to our shores.
Active Pure, which was originally developed by NASA, is being launched in New Zealand by Big Blue water company.
It's a small box unit you set up in a room, and helps protect against germs and bacteria in the air, like Covid-19 and the cold and flu.
The New Zealand Olympic team is also currently testing it out in Tokyo.
Big Blue managing director Paul Wiggans told Mike Yardley the system provides more than other methods as it runs 24 hours a day.
“The key to it is that it’s active 24/7, rather than relying on more traditional point and time technologies such as air filtration.”
