The elections are being held to decide who will replace President Park Guen Hye who was impeached in December. The recent scandal ensnaring the president, and big business leaders in South Korea has shone a spotlight on corruption in Asia's fourth largest economy, as the BBC's Karishma Vaswani reports.
The social media giant Facebook has published full page advertisements in some UK newspapers today to raise awareness about 'fake news'. The ad campaign comes as a BBC investigation has found Facebook played a decisive role in both the US election and Britain's EU referendum last year. Darragh MacIntyre has been investigating this for the BBC's Panorama programme.
