Wadood Pedram ran a high school in Kabul that was built and funded by the New Zealand-linked Lapis Lazuli charity and educated girls.
He's also a women's rights advocate, but told Mike Hosking darkness has descended since foreign governments pulled out.
“And at the moment, unfortunately, we’ve lost everything we have achieved in the past two decades.”
Wadood Pedram is holed up in Uzbekistan on a temporary visa.
He wants our Government to support women in Afghanistan and those who helped our country.
